the size of wall tile is 6” x 12” and is “honed” (but is also available polished). The material is a white marble that is looks very similar to Calacatta Oro Marble, but is a 1/3 the price and is only sold to the trade. Would you like a quote? Also

we're doing some remodeling and were surprised to know we had to purchase a slab - so now we're thinking we may want to use the marble elsewhere
Carrara Marble will run you between 75-90 a square foot installed all said and done, but that will vary depending on the project. The price of slab is irrelevant since you need it cut and installed.

polish the marble surface and thereby reduce the honed look. That could defeat the purpose of having honed marble. My daughter has honed marble in her kitchen and is going through that same dilemma on her marble counters. Some have been etched by mistakenly using Lysol or allow acidic foods to come in contact
with the marble, (i.e. the juice from freshly sliced tomatoes). If, for some reason, you do decide to use "BKF", do not under any circumstances use the liquid form as it has Oxalic acid in it. Use only the dry powder form.( EDIT: I just read my BKF label and it says BKF Powder also has oxalic acid and
'real' marble!!) I would also apply it and scrub it in using a very fine abrasive pad such as ScotchBrite. Good hardware stores sell them in various grades of abrasiveness. Grey pads are the finest and should only be used. If you can handle the smell of Comet (aka: bleached cleansers) take a look at
