grade oil finish is a basic mineral oil based finish. This finish is completely inert and FDA approved. It also allows re-sanding and ding or dent repair at any time. It does need to be renewed on a regular basis w/mineral oil. The renewal basis will vary based on use, but once a month is an average treatment

The hood is beautifully crafted and the solution of splitting off the base of the massive posts on the pull out spice racks is very clever.

What material was used for shower walls and base please?
Steel troweled cement plaster is my guess. There's a good bit of it by John Lum if you search. This apparently is stucco, unfinished, and can be sealed, and even colored, though I like the natural as well. from what I've read, it's durable and more cist effective than granite or marble
