The steel for the stair and the gabion walls were purchased through e metal fabricator/contractor and made into those elements. The steel treads you can purchase at an industrial supplier perhaps, in your area. Good luck!
their garden, (which, btw, require a ton of regular maintenance), wishing instead to enjoy their space when they are home from long travel trips by lounging and hanging out.
This garden is a study in juxtaposition. The metal cage and rocks of the gabion are in high contrast, adding drama. The cage speaks to the fabricated steps in color and texture, as well as to the terrace furniture in shape. The color of the gabion rocks is also repeated in the furniture. good for rock

spied this garden the other day when I was looking for bocce ball courts. I love the way the edible plants inhabit the space between the court and the walkway.
One can enjoy a game at this court, then pick a tomato or two for dinner from the edible garden on the way back into the house.

The main difference (besides cost) is that corten will only patina to a certain level then stop, while mild steel will continue to oxidize till it rusts out- not a problem if the water running off the wall goes into a flower bed filled with plants that like a high-iron content soil. My guess
