Where does one find the steel for this type of terracing?
So the wall is concrete, clad with Corten or is it just a concrete footing? How thick is the Corten?

The height and color of the grasses are perfectly in harmony with the rust finish of the steel.Ornamental grasses can be a good plant choice, as terraces can drain freely, but the selection

What kind of steel did you use? Thanks.
Hi love the design you guys did! Are these faux boulders? How did you get them to hold up the steel are they just set up against the steel wall? Thanks
to a steel yard and getting what you need. They likely won't have corten in stock, but if regular mild steel is okay then you can probably get lengths of steel at 1/4" thick as wide as 12".
great info. I am trying to do a similar thing with our yard but plan on using a smaller retaining wall. I posted
The boulders are real! I think of the stones as pinning the steel in place since the walls are all slightly concave and as the steel flexes in the middle it will push the stones sideways. These stones are
trigonometry, we went to work on the stones and cut the back and bottom sides of them away. Then we sent off the specs to the steel shop and crossed our fingers. The steel came and a crane truck helped us put them in place. What do you know, they fit! We can do it much quicker now with way less stone

What is this retaining wall composed of?
How is the corten steel supported?
I am wondering what supports the steel? Do you use steel posts and weld

I love the metal wall to support the grass area. how did you go about doing that?
really like the concept, but how economical is the steel plate vs say stone?
Would this metal wall survive snow & ice?
And how is it anchored? It looks like there is a concrete stem wall at the base of it....

In the modern garden, stone and brickwork aren't always the most suitable construction materials for creating retaining walls. Here Cor-Ten steel has been used to form a cost-effective barrier.

Hi, is a retaining wall like this more expensive than a stone ret wall? Also, is this totally functional? i.e. for stormwater management? my knowledge of this stuff is limited so bear with
This is quite beautiful and inspiring. We are considering doing something similar in our landscape. Do you know if these steel sections get super hot? I am obsessed with this look, but have concerns for plants, children and dogs playing outside in the summer. Also, did you treat
