light will come from skylights as brick walls are fragile. To get max. light we hope to install a steel-frame glass wall along the bathroom and stairwell.. Two Melbourne companies make steel frame windows but will cost all our arms and legs. We're advised to do it in wood instead. We are inspired by the
colonial window (locally, this means comprised of smaller panes) facing the stairs in a hardwood 1315w x 2110h. Pref not cedar as it's food for cockatoos. Any suggestions gratefully received. Kind regards & gorgeous pics, Miss P.
Is this insultated glass in the steel frames?
Who makes these doors and windows? I'm assuming they are much more expensive than wood or wood/clad windows and doors. Is that right? Thanks.

OPEN CORNER WINDOWS ARE EASY IN STEEL FRAMED WINDOWS
Steel Frame Windows - open space
Breaking up a large plain window
Vertical paneling, large window, slate floor
corner windows, likely black not red, but hard surfaces and wood is nice too
steel frame living space - corner
steel framed windows are lighter and can be used to create open corner windows
Wood & Steel - Yin Yang
These systems are naturally suited to open corners, where sheets of glass are formed to create open corner windows. Thin lines of steel provide a minimal amount of framework, creating just a mere screen between inside and out.
