What stones did you use for the fireplace and the landscape? I am also intrigued with the lights as well.
How is the stone bench built? Do you have plans?id it solid? Hollow?
Warren. The stone is split-face granite fieldstone, which is very prevalent in Wisconsin. The low-voltage lighting is from F/X Luminaire.
Thanks for your question! The stone used for the actual
river stones, as it would never really be stable. Instead it is sitting on a steel ring that is then hidden by the stones. This was a new installation so the bluestone surround was laid with a hole in the middle specifically for the river rock and the steel ring. A gravel bed was created underneath
river stones to allow for water to drain from the fire bowl. Sleeves for electricity were pre-laid before the concrete patio was poured so that we could run power to the low voltage lighting around the base of the fire bowl. Thanks for your question!
