Stone Chimney
Like thr roofing, stone, plank shake and cedar
collected rocks on their vacations and wrote the date and place where they were found in permanent marker on them. Then they integrated the stones into the chimney of their house when it was being built. Rocks can also be made into stunning lamps — but more on that in another story.
Lake House Rule No. 2: Leave no stone unturned, unstacked, or, oh you know what I mean. A fieldstone fireplace is the best kind of lake house fireplace. I love the organic shape of this one next to all of the clean contemporary lines of the house.

Suburban Modern
Where can I get this fab chimney cap?
Love the house, what was the stone that was used?
What type of stone was used and size? How was if fix to the structure?
Who is the manufacturer of the chimney pot?
The exterior stone is a flamed face Bluestone that was quarried out of Vermont specifically for this house.
WHo did the chimney cap on the fireplaces? is that a custom item or was that purchased and where?
Overall look and smoothness of stone
Stone exterior. Corner windows. Shade devices that bisect the openings
Great Stone work and simple shapes
love the simiplicity of the architecture, stone exterior and connecting structures
— four chimneys, two at either end of rectangular gable volumes. Each chimney bookends and stands out through their exaggerated height. Nevertheless they are wrapped in the same stone as the rest of the house; perhaps this gesture helps make the project modern.

He stone siding is beautiful..Would you care to share the manufacturer and color? Thank you, Carolyn
It's cultured stone, which is manufactured. www.culturedstone.com. Good luck.
colors of stone and siding
The stone color is beautiful. I like how the siding brings out the tan in the stone. Love the not so bright white trim and dark shutters.
I don't like the brown stone and shingles
Stone with Tuscan clay. Bottom of porch and garage columns?
just do stone work in small sections instead

Eagle Harbor Cabin
what is the color and stone on the chimney
what is the brick on the chimney
I love how it looks without a chimney cap; how did you achieve this?
I'm curious what the detail looks like at the top of the chimney. I was under the impression that most jurisdictions require some sort of chimney cap, but I really like the detail on this project without
Hi, Thanks for your question about our Eagle Harbor Cabin project. The chimney does not have a cap, and it does not seem to be a problem. We find that chimney caps are required in some areas and not required in other areas. A recently completed house just north of Boston

Rustic Reclaimed Chestnut
while chalkboard paint, an industrial table and subway tile with gray grout lend a vintage look. This is a true wood-burning pizza oven, with a stone chimney on the outside of the house. The owner is also an artist and loves to change out the art around the pizza oven for different seasons and events
