It is a stacked stone which comes in 12"x12" sheets and the material is slate. But, since this was found by the contractor at a local stone yard in the Hamptons, we do not have a spec for this on record... so sorry!
What was used for the stone around the fireplace?
Wooden mantle, stacking stone, bright trim.
stone used but a different mantle

Overall airy feel, darker floors, sheer drapes, earth tones, textured stone.
Like these stones for shape and color. Would like darker mortar.

Whats type of stone are the steps? And what the cost per step or total job? Looks great!! I want to do the same thing!
are from a granite boulder that was sliced up at Marenakos Rock Center. They are sold for $650 per ton and there is probably a little over a ton of stone in those 3 steps. A typical step costs about $500-$600 to install including excavation, subbase, delivery, and installation.
Great use of pavers, recycled concrete wall and natural stone steps.

What type of stone is that?
are the stones on the mulch, or use sand/dirt to make them shift less?
Thank you for your question! It is natural stone, Lilac color and cut in flagging pieces. You should be able to find it from a local stone supplier. Hope this helps!
