When constructing the fireplace, which got finished first - the stone work, or the ceiling?
Who is the manufacturer of this stone?
I love this fireplace! What is the material used for the hearth?

Good question; for this project the ceiling was installed before the 6" stone veneer was built-up to it. This was deemed much easier and cleaner than trying to scribe the ceiling to the stone.

Questions3
A new stone fireplace becomes the focal point of any room, but without a wood mantel, the fireplace looks incomplete. Wood mantels take on a personality of their own. You can easily mix a formal mantel with a rougher textured stone or take a more formal or traditional stone and blend it with a slightly
slightly distressed beam mantel. Look through the pictures and start dreaming of your new stone fireplace and mantel.

How to mount a mantel on stone?

a local fireplace store to purchase the high quality doors. It is best to install the doors first so the stone can be placed right up to the door frame. We are finding many customers are also switching to gas and using ceramic logs so they can use the fireplace more frequently.
