it’s in Arizona. The room opens up to an adjoining stone patio with a set of narrow folding French doors. Other pluses: a Duravit Philippe Starck soaking tub, a cushy armchair with ottoman, and lighting courtesy of a large Hicks pendant.
Although this pretty bath has a wintry feel, with its many shades of cream and white, it’s in Arizona. The room opens up to an adjoining stone patio with a set of narrow folding French doors. Other pluses: a Duravit Philippe Starck soaking tub, a cushy armchair with ottoman, and lighting courtesy

What is the patio wall made from?! Looks great!
What type of stone was used in the wall? It is just beautiful... and we're looking for something similar. Thanks in advance for your help!
What stone did you use for the patio?
We want to have a patio at the same level as our interior floor as you have done. Our builder is reluctant to do this because he's concerned about water splashing up and damaging the doors and walls and also not having
tall, because that's a comfortable sitting height. Making a wall high enough and deep enough to sit on is a good way to add extra seating to your patio.

what stone is on the ground?
Could you tell me the name of the stone you used in this home? I am looking for a light color flagstone (somewhat close to limestone) but want to also have some brown veins or crème to it so it doesn't look too stark. We are building our patio and there are two very large oak trees that provide
with house. Also the gavel side patio is nice compliment

A little tip to get this type of look with a lot of different stones is to mix a little plain yogurt with water and spray or brush it on the stone. It will induce moss and oxidation on the stone.

Working with a patio. Sometimes we think we should have either a deck or a patio, but not both. Not so, says Jeswald. A deck and patio can work very well together, especially on a sloping site, or when you want to make a graceful transition between inside and outside with a few feet of height between
between the two. In this example, a small deck area with a broad flight of steps to the patio allows for that gradual transition.
