KIND OF STONE IS ON THIS FIREPLACE? THANK YOU FOR SUCH A TERRIFIC SITE!!
What kind of stone is on the fireplace and where can you get it.
Nice stone with built-ins on either side
In grey stone and no wood around it
Ooooo, like the wood around the light stone and curved hearth Would also be a good color for kitchen cabinets nearby, if could do bookcases since already painted
I like the tapered stone and the way the bookshelves on each side are tied in by the mantle
floor to ceiling, stone, raised hearth with seating area
chimney, stone and bookcases on each side. Not a perfect idea for us but some things to consider.
contemporary stone fireplace (gas) I would like to convert it to something a little more updated. I like the opening in this picture. Can you change an existing fireplace opening and/or how do you convert traditional gas logs to something more updated?
Thanks
s the stone work? Is it travertine on glue sheets?
this stone, but when I looked at a sample of it...it looked much more orange. Did you pull out some of the orange pieces?

square cut stone that was then grouted. As you can see the selected stone had a wide range of color variation which greatly added to the interest level of the final effect in this small space. I do not recall the exact name of the stone though that does not really matter as each area of the country, and
every stone supplier, usually give their own names to the stone they carry. I would suggest you find something similiar in your area by showing your supplier this photo. We used this same stone in another part of the property but gave it a completely different look by setting the bottom of each tumbled
The stone used on the house is probably a cobble stone. A couple of pictures I am attaching will show a better example of the color and style. We call the stone cobble stone and the color chateau.
