I have a stone schoolhouse I would like to renovate. In your experience, how difficult is it to remove plaster from stone? (most of the interior is plastered) And how efficient are stone buildings to heat and cool?

why the stone on the fireplace was not taken all the way up to the ceiling? I want to do a stone fireplace in my living room with 22' ceiling. Not sure if it'll be too much if I go all the way up. Thanks!
the long stone columns on the side adding stone all the way up the fireplace would have been way too much. Plus with the breakup of color and texture you really show off the great chandelier. Great look!!!
