best to have a fairly large wall surface to be able to show off the stone. Not all stones are as large as in this photo, but the interior of the fireplace will show off best with a larger area incorporating the stone around the firebox.

Hello - We do not have any photos of the sides and rear on file. The stone work does continue around the sides but not the rear.
No, it's not brick. It's a 'sill block' that matches the stone. That piece is also provided by the stone company. They are about 2-1/2" thick and about 24" long. However
However, yes you could use brick as an alternative between the stone and flexlite.

It is a natural limestone called Austin Brown cut in 8 and 16" heights.. It is a local stone coming out of the Georgetown/Florence area..

This is a natural stone that came from a quarry in Alexandria, KY. Locally it is called Kentucky Bluestone.
