I have been given the opportunity to help design my future house by my Father. We have been thinking and we've decided on stone for the exterior, or at least partly stone. Could you tell me what type(s) of stone you used, and how you built that wall? I would like to replicate that

What type of stone is that
The tops of the stone are sloped. In discussions with the client they were happy to live with the amount of rain that might come in. If you live in an area with a lot of hard driving rains, or have a desire
This is a natural stone that came from a quarry in Alexandria, KY. Locally it is called Kentucky Bluestone.

Do the mirrors attach to the stone or is the stone around them?
Could I get more info on the brackets and mounting? We have a similar stacked stone in our bath and are trying to figure out how to mount them without buttons on the front or anything showing on the mirror itself. Any addl info would

Could you give me information about the stone you used for the arch? It is very nice.
The stone is reclaimed rubble stone--stone that had been salvaged from old barns that had been demolished, provided by the mason on the job.
Tile is stone tile (slate). Large tiles are 24 x 24. Strips 2 x 16.
I can't be sure about the the actually flooring - the dark stone looks like a bluestone but the range of color suggests something else. The dimensions of those tiles look to be about between 24"x24" since the range

What is the stone used on the fireplace please?
The stone was a blue stone from a local quarry. Thank you for asking.
from the similar material. I am guessing they used 2 1/4" rock faced limestone. Installing a deep stone mantel gets a pit tricky due to the weight. The result is short shelf depth. Just make sure the stone mantel is supported properly.
Like the blue stone and texture...needs a pretty mantle
I love the fireplace centered between the two windows, and the stone. The room has a cozy feel to it.
love how it's a wall of windows on either side! different stone for the fireplace and no crown molding

into any space, It depends on preference and budget. We have a project with a 3 story wall feature, where the water falls down the wall and into a stone collection area in the basement, creating a relaxing/calm feeling throughout the main living space all the way to the basement retreat. now this is a different wine cellar:)! Stone looks like an Arkansas Fieldstone. Great installation! ...
Thank you for your question. This a natural stone in a random field pattern with tight grout joints, I believe it comes from Lompoc, CA.

Use a mix of materialsThe juxtaposition of the metal wall racking and rugged stone walls works so well in this wine cellar. And the excellent lighting is a masterstroke, highlighting the texture of the stone while making it a breeze to locate favourite bottles of wine.
