can put shoes display at the glass area under stair
glass wall partition on stairs... could provide a sound/wind block to lanai
TREAD DEPTH & HEIGHT BETWEEN STAIRS
Transparency can also be gained by a full glass wall, as in the case of this straight-run stair. Compare this stair with the first one in terms of the angle; I’m guessing this stair is easier on the leg muscles.

What kind of wood is used for the stair treads?
When walking on the stairs I assume it would flex. Does it add extra pressure that may distort and break the glass balustrade?
We plan to build wooden stairs and looked
see the wooden stairs are pretty thick... so we were wondering if they are cladding over concrete stairs or are they real thick wooden stairs...? Thanks in advance for your reponse.
Could you tell me the dimensions of these stair treads?
What kind of wood is used for the stairs?
Hi Jason, these stairs are actually comprised of engineerd bent steel plates that are clad in 3/4" hardwood. The steel plates are fastened into a concrete wall which was clad in stone. The steel plates eliminate any flex when walking on the stairs and allowed us to use the glass panels

I am working on a similarly styled stair in Mpls, and was wondering who you used for your steel work on the stringer/tread supports. Thanks
posts were used with this cable rail? We'd also like to add a coordinating gate at the top of the stairway? Any ideas for coordinating that with this stair railing would be greatly appreciated! NOTE: We noted Swan Architecture from Mpls. designed this home. Ironically, we moved from Mpls. just five months
rock behind stairs for south entry wall. stairs need support beam like this. (under the step not on the sides). whole look is similar
Gradations of light wash over this textured stone wall. Ascending a stair into a luminous zone is a very poetic (some might say heavenly) notion.

who can i contact regarding plans and costs to build these stairs.
not allow you to build a "Open riser" stair anymore due to the space between the treads that a small child could potentionaly slip threw and fall. I would estimate the cost to be much higher than the 9k due to the cost of the stainless and hardware,
These stairs would run about $9,000 is my guess
Wish I could have an area like that under the stairway! Like the openness of the stairs
Nice to float stairs in front of a window
