recommend the number of people that can comfortably be seated without touching elbows while eating. Each person needs about 2 feet of eating space. Of course, if your table allows for it, you might be able to squeeze in another seat or for those occasional larger gatherings.

enables you to screw vertically through the bottom of it into the bottom of the desk. (make sure your screw length won't protrude through the top of course :) When the 2x nears the front edge of the counter, angle it back at a 45*. You would still screw horizontally through the 2x2 into the wall studs
