Succulent Frame
Flora Grubb Designed Living Art piece, using Bright Green Living wall planter
like . . . living succulents framed picture
Another option for growing succulents vertically is using a Living Wall Planter from Bright Green. Bright Green sells planters with a moisture mat that keeps watering simple and doesn't require removing the frame from the wall.
A planted canvas of succulents, designed by Flora Grubb Gardens in San
San Francisco, is framed as fine art. The many types of succulents, in shades ranging from blue-green to dark green to lime green, exemplify both unity and variety. Textures also contribute to the design's variety — and the overall composition is glorious.
and beautiful as a work of art, a wall-mounted garden can be the focal point of a patio. Try your hand at a smaller-scale version or hire a pro to design something similar to what is shown here.

WOW wall of plants.mcould do on a smaller scale with succulents. Love it
I don't like the design of the live wall. But I love the idea of a live wall.
create a sculptural centerpiece, as with this succulent garden, or place them haphazardly for a less formal feel.

low water garden with colorful foliage of succulents & grasses
what is the succulent in the front..t
i live in La Paz mexico , we are now working on landscaping our backyard. i love the succulents because they dont take a lot of water and here we have water issues.
I love this design but can't figure out what the soft foliage is around the rocks. Can anyone tell me?
This low-water design is anything but dreary. It's a fabulous example of using contrasting textures for impact, especially in a small space. The needle-fine blue fescue grasses look soothing as a carpet beneath bold-shaped, red-tinged Kalanchoe, also known as paddle plant. I'm not certain which cultivar
cultivar the designer used, but one that's similar is the aptly named Kalanchoe thyrsiflora 'Bronze Sculpture'.

I noticed you use a lot of senacio in your designs, do you have a preference over mandraliscae or serpens for a residence? I had a nursery tell me that the mandraliscae is to agressive and high maintenance
With desert plants, you can go bold and raucous with greens. The design of many succulents and other desert plants is very bold, and blooms are often bright, beautiful reds, oranges and yellows. Follow suit with boldly-colored blue and deep green foliage to create strong contrasts.

the name of the taller succulent in the back left with the red edges?? It's so beautiful!
I'm in Southern California also a dry climates. Drip irrigation system is fine. If you are worried about the heat, place succulents in partial shade areas
I love the look of succulents, but I live in Las Vegas. How difficult are they to keep alive and beautiful in dry climates? Is a drip system enough?

quickly. Ceramic pots are available in a wide range of colors, shapes and styles. I prefer to use containers with no pattern or embellishment for succulent design, to keep the focus on the textures of the plants themselves.

A Succulent Wall
This is a custom designed succulent wall. This striking green wall is a site specific landscape that incorporates a variety of plants with contrasting color, texture, and form. It has a built-in irrigation system which means literally minimal maintenance for the homeowner.
Hi there, I am a designer/ Houzz writer/garden speaker and am currently preparing a talk for the Northwest Flower and Garden Show in Seattle. I'd LOVE to include this photo - would you be willing to share it with
