Which is the material used for this fireplace? Copper?
I also want to use this for an entire fireplace wall.
The fireplace and entry surround were paneled with individual pure copper panels contact cemented to the substrate and patinated by jimthomasbronzestudio.com with hot ferric nitrate acid. The patina was sealed with hot carnauba wax which should be re-applied annually. An alternate sealer
Stone fireplace up to the 2nd story
When one decides to clad a tall fireplace in copper, it dominates the room. Here it is balanced by high ceilings, glass and light walls.
This image from yesterday's ideabook on textured fireplaces inspired me to search for other copper uses around the home.
copper impact, finish your fireplace from floor to ceiling in this rich element. Note how the designer extended the copper finish to the left and right on the bottom half: it gives the fireplace a dimensional feel and instantly creates a enticing focal point.

What is the distance between the floor and the start of the fireplace
This looks like a custom unit to me, but here are links to Spark and Montigo for sources of linear fireplaces: http://www.sparkfires.com/products/linear-burner-system http://www.montigo.com/index.php?page=show-product&c=residential_single%20sided_linear
and still feel you must put your TV above the fireplace, consider a narrow, rectangular fireplace placed very near the floor, like the one in the photo above. It will allow you to have lower and much better placement than putting your TV above a tall fireplace with a high mantel.

Hi, What is the concrete block that was used on this fireplace?
Shifted fireplace. Dry wall where brick is.

off set fireplace, wood trim and grey brick
Tall, dark and handsome. This tall fireplace with its dark standard-brick-pattern focal wall appears very masculine. Add a perfect dark wood mantel to complement any bachelor pad. Tip: A grand fireplace surround like this makes a small fireplace box look larger at first glance

What type of stone is used in the Fireplace?
How long does it take for an arborvitae to grow 15' tall? I currently have some that are 2' tall.
Love all of it. Outdoor fireplace maybe with propane hookup to grill/outdoor kitchen. Like the tall tapered bushes for privacy. The seating areas are gorgeous and look comfortable.
do we want an outdoor fireplace design that includes a woodstorage cubby in the stone ? hmmm . . . not sure . . . invites mice !?
How narrow and tall the trees are
Think about an outdoor fireplace. Flanked by arborvitae trees, a tall fireplace effectively hides this fun entertainment space from sight.

We are building a house with a similar window fireplace configuration. I'm concerned we have not allowed enough space for the fireplace. The proportions on this wall are ideal and the room is beautiful. Could you tell me the width of the wall and the fireplace?
high cielings, view, woodwork, and carpet, esp tall fireplace
I like the tall fireplace. It gives weight to the room and becomes the focal point of the space. Can become a bit overwhelming though.
I like the log racks adjacent to the fireplace.
LOVE the tall ceilings and tall fireplace, but would want it tapered. also, with beams it takes away from just all stone to the top. i like the different layers of beams and stone
