r you tape, paint lightly over the tape edge with the color that is currently on the wall. Then wait till it dries completely. Paint the next color and before that color has dried completely, remove the tape. This works great for trim as well.
painters tape will NEVER work, the paint sneaks under it every time. Get a good angled brush (yes, there is a difference in a $12.00 brush), and take your time free handing it.
