On the right panel in the picture, does the glass panel hinge in over the tub, out over the floor, or both directions?
Jeff - our contractor has recommended we use a framed glass enclosure that sits in a 'track' on top of the tub, with a 'header' at the top of our glass panels. Several bath installers say this provides more stability for the glass panels, and reduces the potential for leaks rather than have clips

We are considering a similar backsplash. I love the clean look of the glass. But, my kitchen supplierwhile recommending the glass, mentioned that a customer of theirs had the solid glass behind the stovetop crack when a pot that was on the flame had its handle touch the backsplash

They cut glass first then temper.hope that helps.
as the designer, not the glass cutter/installer, i have no idea exactly how they do it but we've specified glass for back splashes twice now without issues. you're best to ask a reputable professional glass company
