What is the type of windowsyou used that can swap out the glass and have screens in the summer. I am looking for exactly this type of room.
what happens in summer with screens if it rains? Had screen porch before and rain use to flood in.....?

google "Combination Door Company" in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. We used them for our screened porch and have both screens and glass panels. They are fantastic!

Upto what age can a bunk be used?
appears to be impractical & dangerous. Burn, breakage (then electrical), and fire hazard if the light touches bedding. Would you really want your child using this?
Lot's of young adults with small spaces have loft beds in their apts and some colleges still use them. I imagine you could do this and use two double beds as opposed to singles. It may feel like a cave for the person on the bottom though. I love love this idea!!
I love this. What a great use of space and it seems solid.
I use twin XL (length of a Queen). Our 6'2" son fits fine. Sheets are easy to find in the summer when students are buying for college dorms.

Good morning, The soapstone is dark green finished with mineral oil. We use Bucks County Soapstone for our installations. They are located in Pennsylvania. Check out their website for more details on the actual stone. I hope this helps!
