They are done in our pepper colour. In terms of the backsplash, AKDO's stagger Parchment glass is what another person has mentioned it might be. I hope that helps!

something that is not top-notch but in the upper mid-range, how does that compare to regular walls? Are we looking at a low, medium, high impact in terms of efficiency? Any other factors to consider? Somebody pointed out the other day to me that some of these glass walls could crack if a rock went flying

some darker slate stones in there to compliment the slate floor. Don't think we want the decorative arch over the fireplace door (don't know what the term is). May be too formal for the hearth room. The dining room fireplace however would look nice with that kind of arch.
