for special or intriguing items — even tiny liquor bottles. Two back-lit glass cabinets highlight the collection, creating a wall like no other.
Here is a neat way of displaying miniature alcohol bottles. The color of the glass creates the backdrop for this contemporary dining room.

Hi, how thick is the glass and can you drive on it?
Using thick glass ( guessing) will look like a pavement outside the basement as I understand a very wicked way of using natural light however I have a question will you be able to drive on top of it?
Maybe the extension stays lower and has a glass roof?

Was it specially made? And if so did you go through a glass company? Who supplied the "bolts" to mount it? Thanks so much!
concept was in place. Unfortunately, I don't know who the trade was for the glass or the bolts, but I think you may be able to get some direction if you consult a high-end fireplace vendor. They should be able to advise on the glass requirements for durability next to the heat. They didn't supply this job
the raw assymetric concrete fire base warks amazingly well with the thick glass and the metal joining elements. I would only change the floor panels for brown ones to give a little bit more warmth to the space and maybe find

I'm wondering if you can tell me the safety of the double sided fireplace? Could the glass be easily broken to gain entry into the home? Thanks.
you see through the glass to the fire from the porch. Thanks!
The glass is specifically made for a fireplace and is very thick and therefore difficult to break through, tougher than a standard window. The house has an alarm system and all the glass is secured.
ceramic 'glass' suits the bill, but I'm searching for someone to measure install. Could you tell me what sort of subcontractor you hired for that work? Thanks!
Thanks! The fireplace is custom, wood burning, built by Jeff Gamelin of Orland, Maine. The back of the firleplace is safety glass, allowong

like the corner windows; I imagine the bathroom would be as large as the tub pictured with tile shower. Wall where shower is could be made with the thick glass squares to let light in. also, porch/deck could be an extension of the bathroom possibly.

want a swimming pool you could look into through the glass. I still do! Oh, the house is lovely too!
Think of a brise-soleil as blinds on the exterior of a home. It does the same heavy lifting of blocking out unwanted heat gain as interior blinds or curtains. Yet since the location is on the exterior, it blocks the heat from the sun's rays before they even hit the glass and enter
