Love the simple, clean modern design of an old world swing.
We don't all have the luxury of a porch area with an overhang where we can put a porch swing. This is a great alternative since it replicates the porch swing. It doesn't look super cozy but it does

Aloha, this build is beautiful! We are considering a very similar deck finish and would like to know if the fencing is coated metal or wood? With many thanks
Yes, we recessed the window (bottom jamb) so it would sit flush with the granite but still allow an unobstructed counter when open.
The interior wood is a pre-engineered Tigerwood. We installed this floor as a floating floor, meaning no nails or glue. This allows for natural movement expected with wood products in hot-moist climates like Hawaii.
Love the idea of a window from the kitchen to the deck.
I love the idea of the kids being able to get food
Such a lovely idea to serve from inside out

The backsplash looks like a macadamia color. We have glass tiles that are similar in pattern but not in color.
comment--the overall kitchen dimensions of this DC condo kitchen are approximately 9 feet x 11 feet. The ceiling height is 8 feet not counting the soffits we built to hold some recessed lights.
