I love the kitchen esp the sink! Has it been reglazed and is the faucet practical?
We own a salvage sink just like this (except one side is deeper than the other). Do you have a source for reglazing? Also, I really
condition or did you have to refinish it? How would you resurface a salvaged sink?
Could you please tell me the brand of faucet you chose? And how happy the customer is with the quality? (I've found similar but only by brands no one I know has ever heard of before) Thanks!

I like salvage doors-unique and more interesting. Do I have to use the same doors throughout house?
I agree with Dytecture and would do all the bedroom doors the same. A great place to use a salvaged door is on a pantry. I used a salvaged door on this pantry, it was from a Spanish monastery and adds so much character to the room. http://www.houzz.com/photos/6797
-Neithart-Interiors--LLC--traditional-kitchen-los-angeles We built the cabinets around the doors, any style salvaged door would be fun. Also the front door is a great place to use a salvaged door. Hoe that helps. Charmean Neithart
Using salvaged doors, sinks, tubs and light fixtures is a great way to add character and style to your project while being greener, too. Salvage yards in just about every city provide almost every building component, from hardware to garden ornaments.

What type of wood is this butcher block?
old barns. Before we dismantled the wood, they were cow feeding toffs of all things! One thing I did NOT want was the thick coat of shiny lacquer reminiscent of the 70's. I will definitely check into the products suggested. THANK!
