labor was less than $5,000. Bullnose tile and tile-in accessories from Habitat for Humanity's ReStore, trim tile is strips cut from 12" square mosaic floor tile. Small wooden door is the original laundry chute and the original linen cabinet is to its right. Tiled niche at the end of the tub was space
new wire but I helped with running the conduit to keep down costs. I don't have enough experience to tackle the fancy tile work by myself, but I can help with the layout, cut tiles, and be the laborer. If it was just a simple backsplash or tub surround, I would feel confident to do it myself.
I like these detail at the top of the subway tile
Use larger pinwheel pattern as the deco strip at top of tile wall. Use "milk chute" door as nook door. I like larger subways, not so busy.
