Lovely use of mixed color tile. It's only when you look closely that you realize tile is almost covering the entire kitchen.

If the space feels too narrow, run the tiles across or perpendicular . If you like the way the room leads you through the space run the tiles lengthwise or parallel to the kitchen.
I like this tile, don't like white but idea of wine racks above is nice
long tiles laid veritically from doorway in the narrow kitchen--but use dark tile.

How did you end backsplash tile on right side? Did you use a bullnose tile or caulk?
That looks like a Cararra marble 3x6 tile in a stacked pattern.
