What type of timber has been used for the floors?
your question. The timber flooring is recycled Grey Ironbark, a very dense timber native to Australia. The timber was sourced from an old bridge in Queensland that was disassembled then re-milled into floorboards.

Love the flooring, and decided to go with it in a rennovation in Melbourne
laminate on stairs you don't have a great edging option so we purchased recycled timber for the stairs and created our own stain to pick up the tones of the flooring and it has worked really well!
Was the laminate flooring used on the stairs as well?

the kitchen cupboard, not the timber with the timber floor though.

What type of wood flooring is this?
They are Ironbark - a native Australian gum hardwood. A combination of red and grey. No brand as its a solid hardwood floor - not an engineered product - so its just from a timber yard. With a semi gloss finish

Yes - but only if the floor is properly finished and you don't allow liquids to stand on the floor for any length of time
