I really love the look of the dark timber look on your cladding. What product has been used? Would love to find out, cheers
1st floor level which overhangs the basement garage ( similar to the photo). We are high up on a hill so our cladding runs horizontally to lower the house which sits on the side of a steep hill. Wondering whether to have a dark soffit to enhance that dramatic dark top storey or whether to go off white
Yes the soffit is painted ( Resene Bokara ) to make it similar to the cladding. We did it this way in order to emphasis the sculptural form of the house - if it was white it would have broken up the form somewhat. I think it depends on what you want to achieve, if the line of the joinery is at ceiling
