Thanks for speedy reply. I was interested in using gabions for our sloping garden, but already we are constantly fighting off marauding hordes of slugs and snails. The birds here just aren't up to the job - or are too well fed to deign dining on such fare. Even the hedgehog turns up his nose - so
this backyard. Instead of hauling off excess rocks during the homes remodel process, stone was kept onsite and placed in gabions. The gabions form a garden wall and bench seating.
