The Lake Forest Park Renovation is a top-to-bottom renovation of a 50's Northwest Contemporary house located 25 miles north of Seattle.
You mentioned the color of the counter top is Amazon Grey. I was wondering why it reads as more of a sage type green. I love it, but only b/c it has a greenish tint and not really gray. Is
kind words about my work! The pendant lights above the kitchen island are Kane pendants by Bruck Lighting. They are hung from a custom curving steel light bar that I designed. --Nils Finne, AIA
Hi, Thanks for your comment about the kitchen space at our Lake Forest Park project. The stool is called
brackets supporting the cast-glass eating counter. The brackets were custom-designed and fabricated by a Seattle shop. Unfortunately, they are not for general sale.

Would you know the maker of the bracket under the kitchen cabinet? Thx
This was custom design and made by the cabinet manufacturer... Das Holz Haus.
I love to make cabinets the "jewelry" of a home.....thus plan your kitchen around the thought of making it look different than those you have seen before. Be brave.....do so,etching wonderfully different in color, textures
Yup, a drawer style microwave - thanks for pointing out this great kitchen! I would have assumed it was a warming drawer. It is a dacor Millennia 30" or 24" Microwave In-A-Drawer MMDV30 / MMD30 / MMD24. Other makers of these
Excellent answer! The client could not be more pleased with this units function and location. The thought behind the microwave drawer in this design was to keep the client from bending over or reaching up for hot heavy things. This cook has knee and back issues and this helped with both! Aesthetically

What type of counter top is this and what style?
Incredible kitchen backsplash, beautiful cooking area!
I addition to the whole kitchen, this range hood is beautiful!
Can you tell me how tall it is from the top of the Corbels to the ceiling? Trying to see if it might work in a smaller version in a 36 in space. I know
While this extractor may function very efficiently doesn't the elaborate design collect grease and require continuos cleaning ?
In kitchen design, it's always a good idea to start with the appliances. In this case it means picking out both your range (or cook top) and the ventilation unit that you would like to use in the rangehood above. Then look

Can I use red walls and white back splash with this color of cabinets and counter tops?
I have a small kitchen and similar color cabinets and I wanted to make it pop!!
What are the measurements on this kitchen?
I would love to know the style/manufacturer if the drawer pulls. They are gorgeous and I want them in my kitchen!
That would be over the top for my tastes, but to each his own. Keep in mind you'll be spending most of your time in the kitchen, so going bold may wear on you after some time.
it's been so long, I don't know where it was purchased from. I do remember it is an unusual size 14" x 14", which didn't align well with some of the design elements, but it's what she wanted.

Beautiful kitchen! I love the mellow color of the floor, is this a white oak with a natural stain?
Beautiful kitchen!! Do you know the approximate dimensions?
beautiful kitchen, I like how the cabinet on the far left has the corbels almost reaching the top of the countertop. Assuming that is at least 17-18"' high? I've been looking everywhere and can't find and past 12" without it being too ornate
This is called a Franklin edge. It's intentionally worn and the tops are from Bucks County Soapstone in Pa.
thank you, the kitchen is approximately 20' x 19'
Soapstone is very easy to keep up. You can wax or oil it once a year if you want a shine like in this kitchen or you can leave it natural. It's possible to scratch or nick it, but it's very easy to sand those blemishes out or, again, some prefer to let a patina
