We carry transom windows as shown above. This is exactly like our Traditional model TR-1. You would be surprised how many people use a transom like this to add light to a bathroom. FYI, the glass does not have to be tempered

I changed the windows to picture windows and made them a bit smaller. I widened the beams on one side to accommodate the lighting as in Eichlers it is always a problem since there
The real trick is the window header height, not the ceiling height. If it is new construction you can push the header above the window into the floor system above. This is likely what they did here.

Do you have any knowledge of how high that transom is? I am considering one in my house but having trouble. All I have room for is a 12 inch rough opening transom. Will that look small?
