What kind of tree is this? How much sun does it require?
This tree is a Saucer Magnolia (not a true Magnolia- not an evergreen) also called a 'big leaf' magnolia. They get pretty big but are the first trees to bloom in spring.

Plant trees and shrubs. Beginning in September and moving into October and November is the preferred time to plant all trees and shrubs. Just like perennials, trees and shrubs

how to work around a tree
of the tree in this design
Love the tree "life" being part of the design
giant oak tree enclosed by the home. This particular part of the property, which the family loved, is surrounded by limiting geography, including a creek on one side. They had no choice but to build in this particular spot. "It's a beautiful old majestic tree, and we couldn't get rid of it," Marc says
integrate the tree into the design and build around it. Although it is a spectacular sight, Marc says, "It did break up the house. It would have had more open flow without the tree."

Locust tree I have had (honey locust with the small pods, locust with the long dark brown pods, and Black locust) produced hundreds of suckers. We had lawn over the root systems and mowed the lawn every week, keeping the suckers under control in that area. In the gardens, we were always trying to dig

Tree Monkey's. Professional Glass Cleaning-Tree-Monkey's...
trees in boxes. . . .
the idea of the trees in the house, but protected from the outside elements
yr old trees into my patio
build your house around the existing trees
Interesting idea keep trees in the house.
around the trees in the forest certainly is. It's like deflected modernism, something that extends to the use of large timber members and wood surfaces above the glass walls. The residents of this house don't look at the trees so much as through them.
these trees in glass elevates them to museumworthy objects and makes them seem like treasured sculptures.
