This is actually an Aloe Tree. Aloe barberae (syn. Aloe bainesii) is the botanical name. It is native to South Africa so I am not entirely sure about
any buildings as its trunk and roots become enormous.. Great 'architectural tree however. Drew AMS Landscape Design Studios, Inc.
