love the tree as part of it all
love the house being built around the tree.
how to work around a tree
giant oak tree enclosed by the home. This particular part of the property, which the family loved, is surrounded by limiting geography, including a creek on one side. They had no choice but to build in this particular spot. "It's a beautiful old majestic tree, and we couldn't get rid of it," Marc says
integrate the tree into the design and build around it. Although it is a spectacular sight, Marc says, "It did break up the house. It would have had more open flow without the tree."

The tree, I love the tree and wish I could
decorate our trees in vivid colors and irreverent baubles. The traditional Christmas greens and reds are still around, but as with this stunning tree, our desire to express our own yuletide cheer can be equal to our decor's intensity. Attending Carols by Candlelight on Christmas Eve is a big tradition. Most
their tree around the design of their room, and this is certainly a beautiful example of that. Notice how the textures of the ornaments and the sizes of the balls are varied. The addition of the sapphire blue color is perfect, and in just the right amount.

e the trees! Were they installed while green or were they dried?
We are planning to put structural support posts both upstairs and down in our new house. I like the idea of using tree trunks, and wonder if we can use them green, or if we need to have them kiln dried for best results. We live in
The trees were harvested on-site as the building project began. They were limbed slightly, stripped of their bark, and left to air dry during the early construction stages. During framing, the timbers were notched and secured in place over them, and during the remaining phases of the job drying continued
finishes, the trees were sanded and sealed with a penetrating oil.
Love the tree columns and the natural light.

Trees. Kouse dogwood
flowering trees lends timeless appeal to a formal garden parterre centered around a single blue focal point. The look is pure and fresh, crisp and deliberately restrained — elegance redefined.
What else should you trim on a young tree? Make sure the tree has one central leader branch — if it has two
bushes and trees. Imagine the difference between the two if you were to run your hand over them. One would feel light and free, the other straight and solid.
