Very fun idea of green shag rug - does make you feel that you are "outdoors". Makes me smile
of this shag rug, especially in contrast to the hard gray floors.
green shag rug demarcates the dining area.

LOVED shag carpet in the 70's. Hope it really does come back, esp in softer fabrics this time.
I like the look of shag.
neutral shag is warm, stylish and modern in this room. No Brady Bunch here.
Shag carpeting. In the '70s the thicker a carpet was, the better, and it was often used wall to wall. Today thickness comes in smaller area rugs or rugs that don't reach the walls for a more chic look.

This also is nice - like the way the wood complements the colours of the rug and furniture. Darker floor, but not too dark.

Are you ready for this? Not only do we have shag carpeting, but we’ve got wood paneling. If this isn’t a hint that the ‘70s are back in swing, then I don’t know what is. However, this certainly isn’t the set of Happy Days: by pairing the wood paneling with

This has the obvious makings of a cozy den: taxidermy wall hooks, wood paneling and a 1950s era floor lamp. But what really struck me about this photo was how well the shag goes with the already existing carpet. Don’t
