Leith-Menard wanted a Jenny Lind crib, but when she couldn’t find a new one in stores, she turned to Kijiji, a Craigslist-like company that’s popular in Calgary. She found a vintage crib in the style she wanted, but it was a drop-leaf model, a kind that’s no longer made after a number of safety issues
tracks that allow the rail to lower and firmly bolted the rail to the frame. She then sanded the crib and painted it with a nontoxic paint.Leith-Menard points out that when the baby was sleeping in the crib (she’s since moved to a toddler bed), she took out the pillows and the stuffed rabbit.

Instead of the traditional framed artwork above your child’s crib, consider creating a small canopy with fabric. You can create something like this at home with a bolt of inexpensive muslin, stencils and paint.
or color to integrate it better with your decor. This talented DIYer stamped a pattern onto a large sheet of drop cloth and draped it over the baby's crib. Originally an inexpensive utility fabric, it's now transformed into a glamorous textile.

I'm just curious if the curtain frame came with the crib or was designed for it later. Thank you!
I love this project! Especially love the idea of a four poster crib. Great work, and excellent colors!
The velcro that is used to attach the drapes to the crib is heavy duty and it is even hard for an adult to pull them off. When a child grows big enough to pull on them, they are also big enough to push the
curtains do not seem practical, but rather, a suffocation hazard. Especially as the child grows big enough to stand and pull the curtains in to the crib.

Love the curtains around the crib
Add a soft, flexible barrier around the crib. Chances are, you and your baby have different sleep schedules, so you may need some separation within your bedroom, especially if your baby is a light sleeper. Where is the bedding from? I have this exact crib and am having a boy!

The crib was already there when I arrived so I'm not sure where it came from. If you search for "corner crib" online you will find many corner crib styles to choose from. They fit very well into tight spaces - but the downside is that babies outgrow them faster than they do full size cribs.
corner crib could save serious space
I love how the crib is part of the wall almost.

That is the Oeuf Sparrow Crib
crib which turns into toddler bed
Mughannam picked out a pair of Oeuf Sparrow cribs in walnut; they easily convert to toddler beds. She placed them against the walls, creating more floor space in the center of the room for play. Plush carpeting and tactile throws are easy on a crawling baby's knees and cushion the fall of a speedy toddler
