We probably hung each item at least 10 times, but we are satisfied with the finished wall. This is not a project for the faint of heart! I could use something interesting under the letter B, but other than that I am happy to say 90 percent of the wall gallery is composed of meaningful items collected over the last 30 years of life together. There are two frames with fabric intentionally added to save space for something new that begs to be included.

Great job! Two suggestions......do not have it extend beyond the couch or up too high even though the ceilings are high. The top row will be lost then.

Last week I posted photos of my dining room updates. Many of your comments indicated that it was still lacking. Some of you gave helpful suggestions and others just harsh criticism. All was helpful, though some more painful to read! Here is my final (for now) dining room makeover.

The side pictures are 28x32 and the mirror is 36". I could put round mirror in a gallery grouping in my living room. I have a larger mirror in over the sofa that I have used in DR in the past. Leaves in table are not removable. They only fold down...a gate leg set up if you know what that is. I could cover the area without a proper apron with a square table cloth?

Personally I think gray walls are blah in any shade, a trend that will pass. That said your dining room looks great to me.

The big botanicals are 28 x 42". the round mirror is 36" diameter. The mirror over the sofa is 36x46. I may work on a gallery layout for over the sofa and if so I could use the round mirror in the living room over the teal console table. Right now am working on our powder room makeover so DR is on the back burner.

The dining table was made by a small reproduction antique company in Kentucky. It belonged to my Mom and the furniture maker was an acquaintance of mine. The table leaves drop down on hinges, then the two table sections push together. It only seats four in that configuration and the leaves are visible hanging down. It is what it is and I love the table and all the memories attached to it.
