As an Interior Design Firm our Team provides a full range of services. Our specialty is guiding our clients through the New Construction and\or Renovation stages of their projects. Throughout this process we educate our clients on all their options while guiding them in making selections that allows the entire house to flow well throughout. Along with this we also provide design services such as decorating, custom furniture and window treatments.

    Nice patio - Is this space on a golf course? If so, was there an automatic screen installed to protect the owners from errant golf balls?

    Carolina Design Associates, LLC It is on a golf course but it's not in range of errant golf shots. There is an automatic screen but it's for protecting against bugs during the night when they're attracted by lights.

    Carolina Design Associates, LLC isugolfmom - Are you able to see the tags and conversations when you click on the image? I only ask because this was answered several times and this seems to be a common issue which I've tried to make HOUZZ aware of. You can purchase them via Lantern and Scroll (www.lanternandscroll.com) and they are from the John Street collection.

    Carolina Design Associates, LLC I typically like to keep it minimal. Therefore you see two different finishes here. If I added more I would feel as though it was very busy. However in saying that it's your house, your style, if it makes you feel good then go with it.

    Why does every one say not to use marble on countertops? - All designers us it because it is gorgeous. Is it really that impractical? Is there a solution to it spotting?

    Carolina Design Associates, LLC Marble is more porous and will show stains, scratches more than granite. When using it just be careful with it and be sure to keep it sealed in order to maintain it's original look.

    cghead I have marble in my bathroom, and knew this could be an issue. The first time we got spots from some thing I was very unhappy but I got over it and do not really care so much because it is so beautiful.
