Both are pretty good and seem solid, I'm just worried if I do the sectional will the place look small

Well the bigger would seat more and will be much more functional and comfortable for my family and when guests are over. But in terms of a piece that would last it would be the smaller one.

The 3 seater and a great chair. So much more interesting.

When you buy a sectional you need to know.

Do I really want to sit that close to visitors while we are watching tv?

There is always a side that won't be used (the side that does not face the tv) because it is uncomfortable to have to turn your neck to watch tv.

No one, except kids really sits in the corner spot because it's not comfortable either. People tend to lay there instead. Family will do it sure, but some visitors/friend won't by respect.

Re arranging furniture in the future will not be an option.
If your space isn't huge, not just big, it can look massive.

How much space will be left to navigate around.

But the best thing about ikea is that you can try it out. If you don't like it, just bring it back!

Hope this helps!
