Great examples except the metal one featured looks cold and hard. Chairs with the lower backs aren't good for our backs, not providing adequate support. The majority look comfortable and stylish.

Lovely to look at, all, to be sure. But who decides how you sit? Check out www.mysoulseat.com for an ergo-chic chair that let's you sit cross-legged.

Thanks for the article! I always loved laying around reading in the hammock when I was a kid. We had two trees with hooks in them that we hung a traditional hammock from. Unfortunately, after a hurricane knocked over one of the "anchor trees," I kind of let go of the idea of getting my own hammock. I loved getting to see all of the different styles/ways to hang/etc. in this article!

Holy moly, I posted my preceding comment before reading all the others!
Based on everyone's valuable input, I think i know why we haven't had a problem.
I wash all the dog beds, etc., on the Sanitary cycle w/an extra rinse, but no extra soap. My husband scolded me last week when watched me adding (liquid) soap & showed me I was using 1/2 the required amount, required per the mfgr bottle. I was using "eye-balling it" method; you know, a little more for sweaty clothes, a little less for delicates.
We love white vinegar & purchase it in 5 gallon jugs from Smart & Final. Have not personally tried in the washer, but who knows what my crazy hubby has been up to. That stuff disappears & you certainly can't drink it or can you?
He does wash all the cleaning rags in chlorine bleach which drives me insane. I tried throwing (recycling) out the bleach but he just bought more.
So, high temp wash, low amounts of soap, white vinegar & bleach. And the wiping of seal, leaving door cracked and rinsing/drying the dispenser assembly. Sounds like a lot, but is 2nd nature.

You asked about glass blocks. I love them and in the shower area they look good after a shower and John Whipple the Pro advised you clean them with your fav vinegar and water once a month to keep them sparkling. I am on Pinterest and if you can get to my site http://www.pinterest.com/SEllieS/ then go to bathrooms and you will see all of the different ways glass blocks are used. Hope this helps. They are sparkling
