My outdoor space is including outdoor kitchen.

First thought was my sight lines above the grill and oppposite facing range/oven. Two, placemnet of kitchen and bar area.Kitchen is just outside back door for ease of use. Placement of a bar will be further into yard on the backside of a retro oven range. but separated by backspalsh. My grill and range\oven are opposite BBQ grill is just past house stucture for fire protection and close to back door of patio. Heat can destroy siding if placed next to wall, 16" minimum from structures, even though my house is stucco. Space is 48 inches between appliances for traffic flow into yard. Space of kitchen is only 6x8 feet.

Counters will match kitchen counters inside for continuity (terra cotta) and so will a cabinet underneath(white wash pine) and trim(turqouise blue), and will face north to avoid sun damage. No sink here, but a tub for ice that drains into underground drain system for yard. Lighting be wired into trellis above for cook area and range arealighting. Trash container might be under counter with open front. One electric oulet counter level. Gonna run natrual gas line (NG).

Bar is out in yard, I figured it better that way. Not under any cover but in shadow of trellis on NE side of trellis, avoiding some hot afternoon sun. I'll build a backsplash behind oven at counter level then raising up to about eye level at center point of range\oven. The bar is also centered on the peak of the backsplash at a 90 degree from back of oven range. TV will be in back of backspash facing bar, a 6 inch wide wall. This wall faces north too, away from sun for better TV viewing.

Just started project, but these were the decision I made for functionality, ease to use BBQ, fire protection, traffic flow in kitchen area, and sightlines when using appliances.

Live in desert, not much rain but hot sun. Trellis is blocking some 2-4 pm sun with vertical structure of my house blocking morning sun. But from 4pm to sunset, some horizontal structure on trellis will have to block the sun on 110 degree days by mounting horizontal structures high on trellis. Trellis is a good couple feet away from house defining kitchen area in the yard and will be mounted on four freestanding poles. Sized to be 9x4 feet, no permit req.if less than 110 SQ. FT.

Try to get some before to after pictures soon. A low budjet DIY project. Basic materials from over the counter nothing expensive.
