When we were first married, my MIL gave us this old chiffarobe (sp?). I considered painting it, but I really hated it & got rid of it as soon as I could. I don't remember it exactly so maybe I wouldn't want it back but I would love to see it so I could decide whether I made a bad decision way back then.

Ah duffy2009 you can't know now but the fact that you hated it says volumes. You moved on and there are hundreds of orphaned pieces out there waiting for you to love them. :)

I love my family photos, but since I'm an avid collector of other things, I confine the photos to my office. I've used a variety frames and they cover every horizontal surface. They make my time in that room so very enjoyable. In addition, I have floor to ceiling, wall to wall closet doors, which I used to display some of my favorites. I mounted these black & white photos on neutral paper and embellished them with art deco designs. They look great against the colorful doors. (Note: these are copies; I keep the originals safely stored away.)

FYI metal beds or troughs try painting them white to keep cool and from rusting out there a good non-toxix paints & or coatings avail as for wood beds either coat and seal inside walls with either coatings or wrap the sides a couple of layers with white 12mil plastic it is very heavy duty it is mainly used or called shrink wrap alternate your vertical seams by 50 % and the iside of your box wont rot for a long time. Take care all

Yes, by all means, safety bars. And if not now, at least the blocking for them to be added later. In my 'Your new house' portfolio I plan to pass on, I have visually recorded every improvement we have done. Down to the studs pictures of blocking, electrical runs, plumbing, HVAC ducting, floor joist directions, types of underlayments under the hardwood and tile upgrades, insulation R factors and brands..... In short, every thing I wish had been passed on to me. Oh, and owners manuals of all appliances currently in the house. With their date of purchase and all warranty paperwork.
