I love my red room.... on my third red car- VW Jetta. I thought it was Tomato Red... but it is Tornado Red. LOL

Hello thickskin...the use of solid panels had most to do with the available lumber. The contractor had access to some hardwood from South America... it looked much like Teak. It is a shame the Owner had it painted. It could have been interesting natural with a clear coat.. or let it fade to grey... The shutters are mostly for storms and security with regular windows and doors behind. The charm of the building was the somewhat limited choices and lower budget constraints. A great deal of serendipity was involved. I like solid shutters or large louvers... the small louvers I don't like so much.
