I wish this wasn't advising people to use synthetic fertilizers which give your plants a nutrient boost sure, but also kill beneficial bacteria and fungi and destroy the structure of healthy soil. So in the long run they do more harm than good.

"BTK as a broad spray will harm beneficial insects as well". Once again, so why advise the use of something harmful. Successful horticulture works with the ecosystem in place. Use "organic" methods.

These floating glass shelves on of my favourite projects ever. Nothing but glass, u channel, drywall, LED lights and some diffusers.

The drywall work was a bear. I told myself next time I would built this detail out of MDF and install as a unit. Worth the effort I think.

The Ikea ones are flimsy crap. Use significant "pitchfork" brackets screwed into studs, and drill solid wood shelves from the rear to slide onto pitchfork. Or go to customfloatingshelves.com and let them worry about it!

Because we have a tiny master bath and claustrophic walk-in (barely big enough for hubbie's clothes!), we've decided to get rid of our 30" sink and put a linen closet in its place, then tear down the wall into the closet and put a double sink there. To deal with the lack of closet that would created, we decided we didn't need all the space we had in our bedroom, so we're framing in two reach-in closets where we now have a blank wall (just need to move my dresser). I will SO be putting barn doors on the closets!!! We'll build the openings to a regular size so that if someone wants to put up standard doors later they'll be able to without too much trouble, but the barn door just calls to me. Now to figure out the style to use! I like the idea of the mirrors to bounce some light around (and provide some perspective when getting dressed!) and I really liked the example above, with the separate mirrors put together - much better than the usual mirrored closet doors - which always look very '80s apartment' to me.
