We recently updated our kitchen with a complete gut job. We insulated the exterior walls replaced an old window and got rid of an entry hall and closet our kitchen is now a part of the home and I love it. I love the look of light/white/grey counters with wood cabinets and grey tile. I actually liked the first picture because of the back splash. We still haven't gotten that taken care of yet. But the new dishwasher is great and quiet and the stove seems more efficient than what we had....we keep burning stuff. The open plan is great.

Hey Aubry Tyczka Your kitchen sounds like it functions really well and I like the rustic look. Honestly I don't think a kitchen sink could be to big in my experience and the commercial faucet works for me. I give my dog a bath in mine and wash pretty much everything that fits. After all who wants to bend over a bath tub if it fits in the sink. Function really comes first for many home owners and of course we want it to look great too. I love that you recycled the left over tile by using it in your remodel. Sounds like hubby is very versatile with his tools. :)

Marble is so classy, white cabinets are timeless. Could you sub breadboard for the tile to give more cottage. AAm remodeling a river house
