In my quest to minimize the distance I have to reach to the water flow, I have found it helpful that the website faucetdirect.com provides the "spout reach" measurement for each of their offerings and even lets you search by that function. There is a considerable range. Pull-out faucets, of course, are another approach. But pull-out faucets have the drawback that if one hand is holding the faucet, only one hand is left to hold whatever you are washing -- a significant consideration when washing an enameled cast iron stew pot for example.

This is cute, I like how stylish it is. I have a similar color palette to work with (mostly white walls and I have the same cover for my couch...lol that's ikea) but she must be cool bc dachshunds are awesome

What a novel idea! And it makes perfect sense to look through this prism. It's going to take some real thought to come up with the true answer though.

Zone 7 with shady natural front yard needs year round color and/or green. We don't want to see just brown! What can we plant for rapid establishment starting now?

Hi bbd48. Other conditions come into play, i.e. moist vs dry, light-medium-heavy shade etc., but as a general rule I can give you a few things to look at. Very rapidly establishing plants are not what you want, trust me. Things like ivy will haunt you in the future. Look to things like mass plantings of ferns, rhododendron, aucuba, mahonia, epimedium, prostrate hemlocks, hellebores, hostas etc. A bit of research on your end, with some patience, will allow you to have a garden that satisfies you deep down. Good luck.
