clockett1799 So if I select satin sheen would it look less shiny? My concern my cabinet maker may not be as familiar with conversion varnish application. I am becoming really stressed out over this sense I am now down to the wire.

Rockin' Fine Finish Satin is less shiny it will be very close to a oil base paint satin don't worry about the sheen . I understand about the products it's just my opinion I've been using lacquers and conversion varnishes for years I just prefer the performance or the varnish it's more durable and it won't yellow overtime

Kevin Retired Decorator I agree do dark wood on the peninsula then do a distressed white or white on the wall cabinets. Then all light color counter tops.
