About me:
Born into a construction family, Dana Angelucci was holding blueprints before she could hold a pencil. Unlike her classmates, who pursued traditional hobbies, Dana preferred tagging along with her father and grandfather, both prominent figures in commercial and residential construction. Decked out in a hard hat, Dana followed her childhood heroes from site to site, listening to conversations, asking questions, offering opinions and sketching her own designs. Even before graduating from the nationally accredited Art Institute of Philadelphia, Ms. Angelucci was already planning the launch of her own interior design firm.

Rather than immediately set up shop, Dana bolstered her credentials by working with big-name, experienced firms such as Pohlig Builders and McIntyre and Capron. Acting as Principal Designer for a 2-year residential housing project, Dana designed, drafted and implemented a multitude of custom pieces such as metal railings, custom furniture pieces, cabinetry, built-ins and intricate tile designs as well as countless architectural details (casework, mantels, moldings).

Drawing on this coveted opportunity, Dana founded Dalucci Design in 2009. In her 3+ years running her own interior design business, she's achieved a reputation for more than her style and work ethic: Just this past year, she was appointed Chairman and Director of Professional Development for the American Society for Interior Design (PA East Chapter)—a rare position for someone as young as Dana. Her task, while at the helm, is to spearhead ASID's continuing education programs. If you'd like to find out more about this program, please email her here via the contact form. To keep up with her current projects, visit Dalucci Design on Facebook.

"My goal is to help clients understand the potential of their space, then match that to their needs and desires. In concept, that means capturing a piece of their imagination and creating a space that does the same."
