@ Salmon Falls Architecture and stilllearning1, generally a grout joint of less than 1/8" gets unsanded grout and over 1/8" gets sanded grout, so it depends on how you set your pennies in the thinset (I'm assuming you're talking about real pennies?)

I am currently putting down cork mosaic in all the bathrooms in our new house. Love them, but my installation is far from perfect. All these pictures look so *perfect*.
