Yes of course there must be roses in the garden. May I recommend Mme Alfred Carriere (an old fashioned climbing rose bred in 1879) for the white rose and The Prince's Trust (a modern climbing rose bred in 2002) for the red rose. I would have many more roses - The sweetheart rose ( Cecile Brunner bred in 1881) and The Fairy rose (bred in 1932).
